Mondi successfully starts up recycled containerboard machine

Mondi has successfully started up its Duino mill in Italy. This milestone further strengthens the company’s position as a leading producer of high quality, sustainable packaging solutions while driving long term value creation.

Throughout the ramp up phase, Mondi is focused on maintaining consistent production of high quality recycled containerboard, made from 100% recovered fibre. Ideal for lightweight corrugated solutions, these containerboard paper grades support cost efficient, fully recyclable packaging solutions for applications such as e-commerce and consumer goods packaging.

Where possible, the mill will source materials locally, contributing to the local economy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions through shorter transport distances. The containerboard machine will also increase the company’s integration and enhance supply chain resilience for the benefit of customers.
