Emmanuel Odofin has taken over as managing director of the self-adhesive materials division at Herma UK. He replaces Paul Eggbeer, who will retire as planned on 1 June.

‘Paul Eggbeer hands his successor an excellently positioned, extremely customer oriented, highly flexible division that enjoys an excellent reputation among label printers in the UK,’ emphasised Dr Guido Spachtholz, managing director of the Herma Group. ‘In Emmanuel Odofin, we have gained a strategically minded industry specialist with strong leadership skills as the new managing director, who also has a profound affinity for technology that extends far beyond our own industry.’

Prior to joining Herma UK, Emmanuel Odofin spent four years as managing director of the UK subsidiary of MCC Label, one of the world's leading suppliers of high quality labels. From 2008 to 2020, he worked at ABB for a total of 12 years in various management positions. As vice president at the leading automation and technology company, he was responsible for inventory and strategic programmes in the measurement products business cluster in Northern Europe. As director, he also managed the European value chain transformation programme with the aim of streamlining and optimising business processes in three production centres. He was also general manager for product manufacturing in the United Kingdom.

‘Herma UK has written a remarkable and enduring success story with self-adhesive materials. Customers in this country really appreciate the distinctive quality and service mentality, as I can confirm from my own experience,’ said Emmanuel Odofin. ‘I very much look forward to helping continue and further develop this success story.’
