Every organisation has documents it can no longer easily use – years of Microsoft Publisher publications, Adobe InDesign layouts, QuarkXPress archives, PDFs, product manuals, catalogues, annual reports, and other valuable publishing content.
OmniMarkz 2026 introduces two complementary technologies designed to unlock those archives: the new Conversion Centre and a built-in Model Context Protocol (MCP) server.

The new Conversion Centre helps organisations:
Scan drives and folders for supported publishing files.
Preview and review important documents.
Inventory files, pages, fonts, colours, images, and other assets.
Select the documents that still matter.
Export inventory reports.
Batch convert supported files into modern formats.
The Conversion Centre assessment tools are available in the free version of OmniMarkz for macOS, helping organisations understand what they have before deciding what to preserve, migrate, or convert.
The built-in OmniMarkz MCP server connects supported publishing documents and OmniMarkz conversion capabilities with compatible AI assistants, including ChatGPT, Claude, and Cursor.
Using natural language requests, you can ask a compatible AI assistant:
What fonts are used in this document?
How many pages and linked images are there?
Generate a structured report of the document assets.
Convert this Microsoft Publisher file to DOCX.
Export this Adobe InDesign file as IDML.
Rather than opening files individually and navigating every conversion command manually, organisations can inspect, analyse, inventory, and convert professional publishing content through an AI assisted workflow.
