Paragon Customer Communications (PCC) has partnered with Royal Mail, which has been awarded a major contract, procured through the Crown Commercial Service’s recently awarded postal services framework, to deliver Covid-19 home test kits, seven days a week for the Department of Health and Social Care.

The groundbreaking partnership will see both companies working together to form a vital part of the Government’s Covid-19 national testing programme.

A total of six Paragon Group sites will act as fulfilment hubs to ensure the rapid delivery of test kits, with sites strategically located to provide an agile and responsive supply chain. The sites are based in Sunderland, Dagenham, Bristol, Belfast, Glasgow and Birmingham.

Members of the public can now go onto the NHS website, order a test kit, and have it delivered to their home address via next day delivery.

Dave Reynolds, chief operating officer, Transactional and Service Divisions at Paragon Customer Communications, said: ‘This is not only a great achievement and fantastic news for our business, but a strong example of cross-business and cross-team collaboration. We are extremely proud to play such an important role in supporting the government’s battle against the Coronavirus pandemic.’

Nick Landon, chief commercial officer at Royal Mail, added: ‘Since April, we have played a crucial role in delivering and collecting millions of test kits from care homes, test centres and our network of priority postboxes before returning them to labs to help the country’s fight against the Coronavirus pandemic. Now, the government has asked us to play an equally important role in home deliveries for customers who request a test kit through the NHS. We could not be prouder to support the government’s fight against the pandemic. All of our posties know that when the country asks, we deliver.’
