Trade only NCR specialist Print4Printers has expanded its production capacity with the addition of a new digital inkjet print line, specifically to handle short run jobs quickly and efficiently.
The investment comes in response to increased demand for small quantities of NCR pads, books and sets – jobs that are often uneconomical or time consuming for printers to produce in-house.

The new press, now fully operational, complements the company’s existing high speed business forms equipment, which continues to support medium and long run work.
‘We have seen a clear trend,’ said director Matt Kent. ‘Order sizes are shrinking, and that is putting pressure on customer margins. Many are trying to run short run NCR on toner based kit that just isn’t up to the job. Our new set up gives printers a way to outsource those tricky jobs – protecting margin, cutting waste, and keeping their customers coming back.’
The new system enables single pass printing, numbering, collating and near line finishing, with improved turnaround times and no compromise on quality. In early testing, the team produced a typical 20 A5 three-part pads – printed, numbered, glued, wrapped, packed and despatched – in under an hour.
This is part of a wider investment in people and process, with a new apprentice also joining the production team this month. The move supports the company’s ongoing commitment to quality, reflected in its current 99.6% delivery accuracy rate.
Built exclusively for the trade, Print4Printers does not sell directly to end customers. Every order is shipped plain label, with pricing, packaging and support designed to help resellers win more work and deliver with confidence.
‘Our trade only model allows us to focus on the needs of printers,’ Matt added. ‘We are here to make it easier for print resellers to take on NCR work – whether it is five books or 500.’
