Pureprint has acquired Simpson Group from administration, expanding its offering across point of sale, in-store marketing and display production.

Based in Washington, Tyne & Wear, Simpson Group has built a strong reputation over more than 50 years for delivering point of sale, point of purchase, FSDUs, window displays and the design and manufacture of 3D structural display solutions for leading retailers and brands. All jobs have been retained as part of the acquisition.

The business complements Imprint, Pureprint's retail and display division based in Newburn, Newcastle upon Tyne. With both operations located in the north east, the acquisition brings together additional manufacturing capacity, large format litho production, specialist display knowledge and extensive production space.

The combination creates a broader service offering for retailers, brands and agencies, supported by experienced teams across both sites.

Mark Handford, CEO of Pureprint Group, said: ‘We are pleased to welcome Simpson Group into Pureprint Group. Simpson has a long standing reputation within the point of sale and display market, and the business brings talented people, proven manufacturing expertise and strong customer relationships.

This acquisition creates new opportunities for customers of both businesses while strengthening our ability to deliver high quality retail and marketing solutions. We look forward to working with the Simpson team and building on the strong foundations already in place.’

The acquisition forms part of Pureprint Group's continued investment in people, technology and manufacturing, supporting its long term growth strategy across print, packaging, display and marketing services.
