Pureprint Group invests in new direct mail capabilities and expertise

Direct Mail Solutions

Pureprint Group has invested in an intelligent automated enclosing line to expand its direct mail capabilities and support significant contract wins. In addition, the direct mail team is expanding with Simon Harding, formerly of Inc Direct and MBA Group joining the group earlier this month.

The new Quadient DS-1200G4i inserter was installed in July 2022 at the company’s factory in Uckfield, East Sussex and comes with AIMS-500 software for automated compliance and reporting. The device enables automated multiple item matching, maximum volume mailsorting and reduced downtime between job change over resulting in increased volume output per day.

The DS-1200 G4i folder inserter is designed to operate at 12,000 items per hour, enabling the business to maintain the highest level of operational productivity even for the most demanding mail processing jobs. The system can fold up to 26,000 sheets per hour plus add up to eight separate inserts. The DS-1200 G4i’s fully automatic job change enables completion of a wide variety of jobs, even involving different envelope sizes, in a single day. Switching from one job to another happens in minutes, allowing minimum downtime between jobs.

This investment further enhances the group’s in-house offering by enabling cost efficiency for large volume, as well as daily smaller volume direct mail jobs, whilst providing the compliance and evidence trail that many financial and utility clients require. Overall speed to market has also improved, giving clients a faster turnaround time, which is key for the business.

Craig Berresford, manufacturing director at Pureprint Group, said: ‘Our new Quadient DS-1200 G4i has proved to be a huge success and a game changer for our mailing capabilities. The kit complements our offering with our HP Indigo digital machines personalised product.’
