Pureprint Imprint steps up capacity with latest investment in Newcastle facility

Print Solutions

Pureprint Imprint has continued its strategic investment in large format and retail focused print production with the installation of a new Durst P5 350/HS at its Newcastle site.

The Durst P5 350 HS is a hybrid press capable of both roll to roll and direct to media printing on flat sheet and rigid substrates up to 3.5 metres wide. In its high speed configuration, it delivers impressive productivity of up to 708 square metres per hour and features white ink capability for high impact print applications.

This latest addition enhances existing production capabilities and builds on a series of investments over the last 12 months, including:

  • A Durst P5 350 HSR D4 (roll to roll).

  • A second PlastGrommet all in one banner finishing system.

  • A Ribamatic Top30 roll slitter.

Together, these upgrades have doubled the company’s roll to roll capacity, while also delivering improved print quality, efficiency, and turnaround speeds across flat sheet work.

The investment supports growing demand in retail point of sale and out of home campaigns, positioning Pureprint Imprint to deliver even faster, higher quality, and more responsive service for its expanding base of retail clients and brand partners.

Managing director Dave Bullivant commented, ‘We are excited to add the Durst P5 350 as part of our ongoing strategic investment in capacity, throughput, and quality. The new device allows us to be even more responsive to the needs of our large format and retail clients and follows the success of our first Durst roll to roll installation last year. It means Pureprint Imprint is on the front edge when it comes to both outstanding quality and productivity. We have seen significant growth in demand for roll fed point of sale and out of home print, and the flexibility of the hybrid to handle both roll and flat work ensures we continue to deliver the robust service our diverse client base expects.’
