Solimar Systems has announced the general availability of Solsearcher Cloud (SSC), a secure, Azure native electronic document delivery and web presentment solution that enables organisations to index, store, search, and retrieve large collections of transactional documents through common web browsers. Built from the ground up on Microsoft Azure, SSC extends the proven capabilities of Solimar's Chemistry platform into a modern, elastic cloud architecture – delivering enterprise grade document archive and retrieval that deploys in days, scales on demand, and integrates with existing workflows through a standard Restful API.
SSC addresses a fundamental need: organisations producing high volume transactional output – invoices, statements, compliance notices, policies, and reports – must provide a secure, scalable way to deliver those documents electronically while maintaining 100% fidelity and fast retrieval across millions of records. SSC provides deterministic, template based indexing through Solimar's SDX Designer, ensuring reliable and accurate content recognition and extraction. Combined with Azure Cosmos DB for indexing and Azure Blob Storage with automated lifecycle management for cost efficient archiving, SSC delivers the precision and performance that regulated industries demand.
‘Organisations need electronic document delivery that is secure, fast to deploy, and doesn't require a massive IT project to get running,’ stated Mary Ann Rowan, CXO, Solimar Systems. ‘Solsearcher Cloud delivers exactly that. It runs natively on Azure. The Deployment Wizard handles backend cloud configuration in minutes. And for customers already using our Chemistry platform, documents flow easily from their existing production process into SSC for indexing and retrieval, without disrupting current workflows. It is a natural step for any organisation producing transactional and customer facing documents.’

Features and benefits include:
Azure native cloud architecture: built on Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Blob Storage, and Docker containerized deployments with elastic auto scaling. Resources can scale up and out in real time based on workload demand and release automatically when not needed.
Deterministic template based indexing: SDX Designer provides a graphical interface for defining which page regions to index and the rules to apply to qualify content.
Browser based client and Restful API: a zero install HTML client enables authorised users to search and retrieve documents from common web browsers, including those on mobile devices. The Restful API enables organisations to embed document search and retrieval directly into existing portals, CRM systems, and web enabled applications.
Zero trust security architecture: enterprise grade security with OpenID Connect authentication, JWT token validation, Azure Virtual Network isolation, and role based access control down to the field level. Integrates with Microsoft Entra ID and other standards compliant identity providers.
Chemistry platform integration: seamless connection to Solimar's full Chemistry platform, including Print Director Enterprise (SPDE), Solfusion, Rubika, iConvert, and Solitrack.
Universal file repository: indexes PDF content directly and accepts any file type via JSON metadata submission, enabling organisations to build a single, searchable repository for statements, check images, scanned documents, reports, and supporting files.
Multi-tenant architecture: purpose built for service bureaus and enterprise environments managing documents for multiple client organisations. Separate virtual networks, databases, and software versioning per tenant to provide true data isolation from a single platform.
Automated lifecycle management: configurable storage policies automatically transition documents through Azure's Hot, Cool, Cold, Archive, and Delete tiers based on age and access patterns, thereby providing a method to help minimise long term storage costs.
SSC is useful to a wide array of organisations, including financial services and insurance, government and utilities, manufacturing and distribution, healthcare, and print companies. While SSC provides an easy to deploy system for secure business to consumer content delivery, an SSC deployment can also enable call centre and agent access to customer facing documents, greatly improving customer service.
‘In today's environment, organizations need their document infrastructure to be as modern and elastic as the rest of their technology stack,’ added Mary Ann. ‘Solsearcher Cloud gives our customers a cloud native solution backed by more than three decades of production document expertise. Whether they are extending an existing Solimar environment into the cloud or deploying SSC as a standalone platform, the result is the same: secure, fast, and precise document delivery that's operational in days – not months.’
