Soyang Europe has announced that it has secured Waste Accreditation champion status from FESPA UK.
Established in 2022, the FESPA UK Waste Accreditation is a voluntary scheme designed to promote responsible waste management and recycling across print, signage and graphics in the UK market. Companies that opt in and meet strict criteria across waste generation, waste outputs and disposal practices are declared a ‘champion’ by FESPA UK.

After evaluation, Soyang Europe was deemed to have met these standards and was subsequently awarded Waste Accreditation champion status for 2025. In doing so, it confirmed its place among a prestigious list of companies that were also declared as champions.
‘Soyang was the original champion of our waste accreditation and was integral to building our first take back scheme more than four years ago, said Suzi Ward, managing director of FESPA UK.
‘Mark Mashiter, Soyang Europe Group CEO, and his team worked closely with Jon Hutton, FESPA UK director, to understand what would genuinely work for clients. This included how materials could be brought back, how it would function as a viable part of the business, and how materials could be stored correctly and collected directly from its yard. Mark recognised early on that by offering a take back scheme he could not only better support his clients but also help drive a more sustainable industry.
‘Mark and the Soyang team are valued members of FESPA UK and continue to offer us ongoing support across a number of initiatives and events we deliver. Without the long standing support we have had from Soyang, the accreditation would not be as far reaching as it is today.’
Mark Mashiter said that he was delighted to have secured champion status for 2025. He said the accreditation award fits in with Soyang’s wider and long term approach to sustainability and providing customers with environmentally friendly solutions.
‘We have been huge supporters of the Waste Accreditation scheme since FESPA UK first launched the initiative almost four years ago,’ Mark said. ‘We are honoured to have been recognised for our own efforts in this area and will strive to continue to improve the environmentally friendly products we offer to customers.
‘We are committed to our ongoing work with FESPA UK, helping them spread the word about its Waste Accreditation scheme and how businesses becoming a ‘champion’ can help shine a greener light on the industry as a whole.’
