At the first time of participation, Herma has received the second best grade 'B' in the area of climate protection from the CDP (Carbon Disclosure Project).
This puts the company, which specialises in packaging and labelling technology, among the 20,000 companies worldwide that were assessed by CDP in 2025. According to its own information, the organisation maintains the largest database for environmental data and applies strict and independent methodology to assess the quality of data disclosure, risk awareness, environmental management, and proof of best practices. The ratings range from A to D, with A being the top grade. Worldwide, the CDP rating system is often used by procurement teams, among others, to achieve further progress towards net zero emissions for their companies.

‘The CDP rating with the ‘Good’ grade confirms our consistent approach to climate protection and the disclosure of relevant data,’ said Marcus Gablowski, chief sustainability officer at Herma.
At the same time as the CDP rating, verification of the company’s carbon footprint was carried out by Dekra.
Elise Keuler from sustainability management also emphasised the benefit for the company, saying: ‘Transparency in matters related to environment and climate protection has now become a key success factor, because more and more customers place value on sustainable and responsible procurement.
‘Herma consciously meets these requirements – not least because we see them as a clear competitive advantage.'
