Konica Minolta has achieved the international child safe toy certification for its AccurioPress C14000 high speed production press after rigorous paper testing lasting almost two weeks.
Awarded by TÜV Rheinland, the AccurioPress C14000 underwent a series of tests in Cologne and Nuremberg in Germany to achieve the accreditation, which also incorporates the respective national and international standards for toy safety. It confirms that the press meets defined criteria and safety. The specific categories are EN 71-3 and EN 71-9 for toy safety.
TÜV Rheinland represents safety and quality accreditation in virtually all areas of business life. It is a trustworthy system of test mark validity, reference and proof certification.
The AccurioPress C14000, which was launched two years ago, prints at 140 pages per minute and is faster than any other toner based machine from Konica Minolta. Together with the AccurioPress C12000, a second model in the series that has a speed of 120 pages per minute, the flagship production presses are the company’s first foray into the high volume toner printing segment.
Malcolm Smith, category manager of production and industrial print, Konica Minolta Business Solutions (UK) Ltd, said: ‘We are delighted and proud that our AccurioPress C14000 flagship press has achieved this third party child safe toy international accreditation. The machines are perfect examples of how all our machines are incredibly versatile and have so many different uses across so many sectors.’
Malcolm added, ‘The C14000 Series are another success story for Konica Minolta. The presses are helping customers to expand and streamline their business through advanced automation, fewer human touchpoints and higher productivity with tangible effects and less waste, plus a lower total cost of ownership.’
