Ulma Packaging UK appoints new regional sales manager for Ireland

Packaging Solutions

Ulma Packaging UK has appointed Robert McKenna as regional sales manager for the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, strengthening the company’s commitment to growth across both markets.

Robert joined the business in early June, bringing over two decades of experience in packaging, inspection and automation. He will be responsible for leading sales activity and supporting customers across key sectors, including meat, poultry, medical, pharmaceutical and ready meals. Reporting to managing director, James Couldwell, he will work closely with manufacturers to deliver high performance, innovative packaging solutions.

Robert’s career to date spans several senior roles with well established names in the industry. He spent 10 years at Ash Technologies, a global leader in digital inspection systems, where he developed a strong technical foundation in high precision visual inspection. This was followed by six years at AIS Ltd, delivering end of line automation and machine vision projects tailored to the needs of the manufacturing sector. Most recently, he worked at M Pack Ltd, where he supported customers with coding and traceability solutions using Markem-Imaje equipment.

Robert said, ‘Ulma’s reputation for quality and innovation is well recognised, but it was the company’s customer focused culture and long term approach to partnerships that stood out to me. From the outset, the team made me feel welcome and aligned with my values. I am looking forward to working with customers across Ireland and helping them access the benefits of Ulma’s technology and expertise.’

James Couldwell added, ‘Robert brings a wealth of experience and technical understanding that makes him ideally suited to support our customers in Ireland. His knowledge of automation, inspection and labelling systems complements Ulma’s strengths, and we are confident he will play a key role in our continued growth in the region.’
