Universal Graphix has invested in a Jetrix LXa5 flatbed printer from InkTec Europe, marking a significant step in the studio’s growth and commitment to delivering premium quality print solutions across a wide range of applications.

The LXa5 is Universal Graphix’s second flatbed machine. The decision to upgrade was driven by a desire to meet increased demand, maintain its high quality standards, and streamline production processes.
‘When we began looking to purchase our second flatbed machine, it was important we sourced a machine which produced high quality prints as well as helping to streamline our production process,’ explained Scott Blanche, studio manager. ‘Since having the machine, we have been impressed with the print quality and have been able to produce some precise and clear samples to showcase to customers. The machine has also improved efficiency within the production room.’
Blanche continued, ‘The ink is of good quality, prints well, and adheres to materials effectively. The only minor improvement we would like to see is an even better ink efficiency. That said, working with InkTec has been a pleasure – from the initial enquiry through to installation, the whole process was well informed and organised. All the team members we dealt with were helpful and extremely knowledgeable.’
The LXa5 is a 2.5 x 1.3 meter LED-UV flatbed printer specifically developed to deliver a professional level of large format printing at an economical price. It offers photorealistic printing with Konica Minolta 6PL printheads delivering high resolution printing capabilities. It achieves a maximum resolution of 1440 x 726 dpi and can even take media up to 100 mm thick. Designed with the user in mine it has pneumatic pin registration for fast and accurate media placement and a sophisticated anti-crash system to protect printheads.
