Arjowiggins Graphic by Ecovadis and is awarded gold rating

Arjowiggins Graphic has achieved the Gold rating by EcoVadis for its CSR performance, placing it in the top 1% of businesses assessed (out of the total of 30 000 companies).

Agnès Roger, managing director at Arjowiggins Graphic, said: ‘This is yet another outstanding international recognition of our continued commitment to sustainability. We recognise that sustainability must go beyond regulatory compliance this is why we continue to reduce our energy and water consumption, to improve our employees’ well being at work via safety and training, and to facilitate women’s access to all jobs, particularly in the mills. We are also resolutely engaged in developing a paper recycling sector that can generate local jobs in collection and selective sorting of papers to be recycled.’

Ecovadis operates a platform allowing companies to assess the environmental and social performance of its suppliers on a global basis. The criteria include four themes : the environment, labour practices, sustainable procurement and fair business practices. The methodology and criteria used are in line with international Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) standards including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), UN Global Compact, and ISO 26000.
