Christmas fun: fact 6
A kiss under the mistletoe is a grand Christmas tradition.
It is derived from the Druid belief that mistletoe is a symbol of fertility and virility.
But, did you know that ‘mistletoe’ actually gets its name from the old Anglo-Saxon word mistletan, which translates as ‘dung on a twig’! Perhaps not quite so arousing!
It’s a cracker!
Q: What do you call a snowman with a six pack?
A: An abdominal snowman!
