Creation ahead of the curve on Net Zero

Specialist packaging artwork, reprographics, plate and screen producer, Creation, has invested in low mission plate technologies that address the incoming requirements of the Net Zero campaign.

 

Creation has harnessed reprographic advancements to future proof the workflows of local print businesses ahead of the scheme, which aims to contribute to the UK’s long term emissions targets as outlined in the Paris agreement. Cities such as Leeds, Glasgow, Bristol and Birmingham are all committed to becoming carbon neutral.

 

 

As a business thriving on innovation, Creation now offers a completely solvent free plate portfolio, pioneering the use of Asahi AWP water washable plate and DuPont Cyrel Fast Easy EFE thermal plate, both of which eliminate the need for harmful solvents in the plate making process and help companies in the print and packaging supply chain to reduce their emissions impact. 

 

Additionally, the AWP plates improve print quality while reducing the production time by up to 33%, lessening the overall energy consumption and significantly contributing to carbon neutrality and sustainability credentials.

The investment in sustainable technology brings cutting edge ethical developments to the plate and reprographics supply chain ahead of Net Zero, as well as the strategy agreed by Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership (LEP) and West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) that aims to become a zero carbon energy economy, targeted in plans under the Paris Agreement. The campaign will require all businesses in the region to be demonstrably carbon neutral by 2050.
