Screen Graphic Solutions has presented its latest developments in digital label printing at Labelexpo. The Truepress Jet L350UV SAI enables optimised colour reproduction, colour expression, superior scalability and impresses with improved print quality.
Thus, Screen provides the right answer to the current needs of the globally growing label printing industry, which shows an increasing demand for small print runs in the segment of high end luxury products.
In addition to that, Screen is focusing on another key trend: the new Truepress provides seven ink slots, making it possible to work alongside CMYK with white, orange and blue, which enlarges the colour space in a special way.
In order to make the best possible use of the extended colour space and the ink sets, Screen relies on the colour management know how of CGS. The Truepress Jet L350UV SAI has been equipped with a specially developed technology based on the core concept of the latest, fully automated colour management software Oris X Gamut. This enables the accurate reproduction of spot colours in an easy and reliable way with an extended fixed colour palette.
‘Print quality has always been a key factor for the Truepress series. I am proud to announce the new Truepress Jet L350UV SAI with CGS technology built in. The enhancement will be especially noticeable when orange and blue inks are added,’ said Yukiyoshi Tanaka, global division head, label inkjet.
With the right software, multi-channel printing brings numerous benefits to printers and brand owners alike: starting with lower colour procurement costs, including more efficient and flexible production processes, and even better utilization of the machines used.
As the colour management tool can not only convert and optimize spot colours, but also process RGB data at the same time and visibly improves the colour saturation of images, it is often used in packaging as well as photo printing.
The new Truepress Jet L350UV SAI standard model (S) will be available in February 2020, followed by an entry level model (E) with minimised initial investment, flagship model (Z), and suitable model for food packaging labels (LM). Especially Z-model allows a print speed of up to 80 metres per minute, combining quality and productivity.
