At the end of last year, Apogee Corporation sponsored the Royal British Legion ‘Rudolph Fun Run’ on Sunday 17 December, an event that raises vital funds in support of armed forces veterans.

Apogee Corporation was proud to sponsor the Royal British Legion ‘Rudolph Fun Run’, which raised over £12,000 in support of armed forces veterans.

The ‘Rudolph Fun Run’ event raises vital income for the RBLI to continue the important work that it does, while encouraging participants and attendees to become part of a community supporting armed forces veterans and creating positive change in the local community.

‘It is wonderful that over 250 people took part in our Rudolph Fun Run. It is a fantastic family event and I would really like to thank Apogee for sponsoring the medals for everyone who took part. Fundraising events are so important to us, and both the runners and Apogee have made a massive difference to the lives of the veterans we support,’ said Natasha Wadham, RBLI’s events fundraising manager.

The event, held at Leybourne Lakes in Kent, involved both a 2.5 km family fun route and a 5 km chip timed route to appeal to families and runners of all abilities.

‘Sponsoring the RBLI Fun Run is a fantastic opportunity to give back to the community local to our head office in Maidstone. We are really proud to support this event to help bring together the local community and ultimately raise awareness of armed forces veterans and their families, whilst bringing some festive fun too!’ said Dom Gryszan, director of marketing at Apogee.

This sponsorship is part of Apogee’s drive to support community based projects in Kent, as well as other areas around the UK and Ireland, to positively impact its local communities.
