Dantex and Actega collaboration delivers innovation and sustainability benefits

Label Solutions

The Dantex Grou, has been working with inks and coatings specialist Actega to integrate Ecoleaf technology into its PicoJet range of digital UV inkjet presses.

With Ecoleaf providing an eco friendly alternative to hot and cold foiling, the move highlights Dantex's commitment to innovation and sustainability in the digital inkjet label sector.

The partnership is driven by a shared ambition to introduce innovative and value-added solutions to the digital inkjet label industry.

Designed for a broad variety of markets, Ecoleaf is a digital solution enabling metallisation embellishments onto self-adhesive labels. Traditional foiling methods typically result in 80 to 90% waste of foil, whereas Ecoleaf utilises a glue trigger layer shaped like the intended image, to significantly reduce waste. This innovative process jets aluminium particles, adhering them to the glue layer to create a metallic image. This approach not only eliminates waste, it also allows for the creation of multiple metallic colours.

Ben Danon, CEO of Dantex Group, said: ‘We are excited to introduce this eco friendly technology to our PicoJet range of digital UV inkjet presses, and we believe that this partnership will help us to achieve our sustainability goals while providing our customers with highly innovative and visually impactful solutions. Both parties strongly emphasise the environmental and sustainability benefits of this collaboration.’

As well as the integration of Ecoleaf, the current PicoJet range already boasts numerous features including the addition of new DRS (Digital Resolution System) and printhead technology powered by Ricoh, user friendly PicoCenta and PicoPilot software with intuitive touchscreen interfaces, alongside innovations such as SuperText, SuperWhite and SuperTactile, offering a wide range of finishing solutions for end to end label manufacture.
