Technique bolsters its cutting capacity with new Polar N78 Plus

Print Solutions

Technique Print Group has upgraded to a Polar N78 Plus guillotine, replacing an 18 year old Polar model. Karl Smith, managing director, said: ‘The software and the speed of programming will be the key gains for us.’

The operators have undertaken training at the Banbury plant and are enthusiastic about the new technology and touchscreen operation.

‘Almost everything goes through the guillotine (at least 95% of work) and for digital it can involve cutting before and after the printing process,’ added Karl. ‘We bought our first press from Heidelberg when we set up 21 years ago and I enjoy being a Heidelberg customer because I have confidence in the equipment and support, we have built up good relations with the people and the residual values are better than their rivals.’

Technique Print Group promises ‘powerful and elegant promotional material, tailored just for you’. It works for a number of major brands and offers design, print, display and web services.

The PolarN78 Plus guillotine that it has installed features the 18.5 inch touchscreen colour display and automatic graphic programming to increase automation. The Optiknife is easily fitted, changed and adjusted. This model has a cutting width of 780 mm, a feed depth of 780 mm and a clamp opening of 120 mm. The N series is Polar’s latest, eleventh generation, guillotine.
