Taylor Bloxham affirms commitment to mono print with latest investment

Print Solutions

The Taylor Bloxham Group has announced an upgrade to its high speed mono personalisation services with the installation of a new continuous fed laser printer at its direct mail division Mailbox. The purchase of the Nipson VP200 duplex printer affirms the company’s commitment to offering high quality mono print services, a capability in high demand as many competitors continue to focus and invest in colour laser/inkjet route.

David Wright, sales director of Mailbox, said: ‘Our clients and their technical requirements are indicating that mono lasering is still very much in demand.

‘As many competitors have dived head first into digital colour related investments, we have listened carefully to the market and established our niche focusing on a conventional solution. The Nipson is high quality, fast, flexible and reliable – therefore it fits our business model perfectly.’ With a maximum production speed of 150 metres per minute, the new reel fed machine can print up to 2.5 times faster than the company’s existing units. It can print fan folded stationery and other applications on a range of materials from lightweight paper (40 g/m2) to heavy card stocks (240 g/m2) as well as labels, foils, carbonless stocks and coated materials. The Taylor Bloxham Group has recently invested in both digital and litho printing equipment as well as in print finishing technology. This latest upgrade at Mailbox is the latest step in a two year programme of investment designed to enable the group to offer a range of integrated marcomms services. Set up in 2017 as part of the strategy to expand its service offering, Mailbox offer a full range of direct mail production services as well as data cleansing, postage solutions and returns management. The new Nipson laser printer will complement a range of in-house capabilities with envelope enclosing from Buhrs, Sitma and CMC. The division also offer polywrapping, high speed inkjetting, colour digital printing and hand fulfilment.
