Frugalpac gets festive with new Winter cup made of recycled paper
Marking the start of the festive period, manufacturer of recyclable coffee cups made of recycled paper, Frugalpac, has revealed a new limited edition ‘Winter Cup’ design featuring red and silver stars with gold branding.
An estimated 210 million coffee cups will be used in the UK during December with consumers choosing hot drinks in cold weather, so Frugalpac has made the tasteful Christmas themed design available to order now. The Winter Frugal Cup offers a solution for operators and consumers seeking environmentally friendly cups made from 100% recycled paper.
The ‘Winter Cup’ joins the full Frugal Cup range, including a nature inspired ‘ivy’ design and the limited edition bespoke design by Frugalpac ambassador broadcaster Gemma Cairney. For operators looking to make their own mark, bespoke designs can also be commissioned through an in-house printing process.
Made from recycled paperboard, with no waterproofing chemicals, all Frugal Cups use a food grade liner which separates easily during the standard recycling process.
Completing its sustainable coffee cup range, the company also offers an innovative pulp molded alternative to plastic lids, the Frugal Lid. This pulp molded paper lid utilises dry in place technology and sustainably sourced wood fibre to achieve a consistent high quality pressed paper lid.
George Rumble, sales manager of Frugalpac, commented: ‘As more customers opt for hot beverages at this time of year, it’s a great time to spread the #getFrugal message and highlight the importance of choosing products made of recycled materials, to support the circular economy. We are encouraging coffee shops, sports and leisure attractions and forecourts to spread Christmas Cheer sustainably, by serving hot drinks in our Winter Frugal Cups!’
