Antalis introduces new eco friendly outdoor display boards

Wide Format Solutions

Antalis has expanded its ever growing portfolio of environmentally friendly products with the introduction of three, new, fibre based outdoor display boards.

The new boards help meet an increase in customer demand for plastic free products, expanding Antalis’ Visual Communications sustainable portfolio and choice of highly rated materials within its Green Star System, which has been designed to make it easy for customers to identify a product’s environmental credentials.

Visual Communications’ product manager Paul Neale said, ‘Customers are looking for eco responsible alternatives for outdoor applications. Traditionally, plastic based products have been used due to harsh weather restricting the use of fibre based materials. We have been working with our suppliers to explore fibre based products that are suitable for external environments, providing quality and durability, as well as strong environmental credentials.’

The new fibre based outdoor display board products are:

Libra Weather Board – an alternative for the creation of short term signage and promotional displays that can be used outdoors for up to eight weeks. It has a core of water repellent recycled fibres, laminated either side with a kraft liner to give the product rigidity. Libra Weather Board is made from FSC certified fibres and is 100% recyclable.

Dispa Outdoor – a smooth, printable, white surface with a paper core that provides flatness and dimensional stability whilst being lightweight. Dispa Outdoor is suitable for short term outdoor display and signage applications and is made from FSC certified paper. It is 100% recyclable.

Katz Outdoor Board – an environmentally friendly alternative to PE coated substrates and polypropylene fluted sheets. Comprising a water resistant spruce wood core laminated with poster paper, it is an ideal choice for short term (up to 12 weeks) outdoor advertising, such as for election campaigns, event signage and point of sale. It offers excellent print quality and can be recycled in standard waste paper streams.
