Item Products to exhibit expanding product portfolio at Empack Gorinchem
Packaging Solutions
Item Products will be showcasing its extensive range of innovative solutions at Empack Gorinchem, held in the Netherlands on 5 to 7 April 2022.
The company, which has recently established a new distributor agreement for the Benelux region with Belgium company, Allsign, will be exhibiting on stand E140.
This is the first time that Item Products has exhibited outside the UK since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. The company will be using the show to update visitors on the very latest products on the market, including the all new ‘Corra-Screw’, a re-usable fixing for corrugated packaging. Available in two sizes for both double and tri wall board grades, Corra-Screw is a low cost fixing to bind and release multiple layers of board. Perfect for reusable transit packaging and returnable goods, it can be secured by hand or with a screwdriver, and eliminates the need for tape or staples, thereby reducing damage to packaging. Corra-Screw is robust, recyclable and made from 100% recycled material.
Also on the stand, Item Products will be displaying its wide products portfolio, including Interlock locking clips, which are designed to clip together multiple sections of corrugated board in a heavy duty transit pack. Their use eliminates the need for strapping, which often cuts into board to impair its performance, possibly risking damage to the contents. Other items on show include standard and heavy duty carrying handles that can be recycled in the commercial waste stream, display hooks, euro studs and rivets for point of sale, as well as wheels and stabilisers to provide packaging mobility.
A key part of the offering is Box Latch, a reusable carton closure device distributed by Item Products in the UK and Europe. The Box Latch product enables corrugated packaging to be reused via a simple closure system, as opposed to tape or staples. The device is helping companies reach their waste reduction targets, improve supply chain sustainability and create leaner manufacturing, all with an innovative, low technology solution.
Incorporating strong environmental messages as a core theme on the stand, Item Products will be promoting the phrase ‘reuse before recycle’ for all components in their product portfolio, meaning that all items can be reused time and time again before being recycled.
Julian Cook, Item’s managing director, said: ‘It is great to be able to showcase our latest products and reconnect with visitors once again. We have a well established reputation in the marketplace for developing innovative, environmentally efficient solutions and I am sure that we can look forward to a busy and productive show over the period.’
