Independent web design, printing and signage company Nettl at Digiprint Bath and Chippenham used Polar Premium Air self-adhesive vinyl from Drytac to produce a set of eye catching graphics for a local, high end shopping centre Milsom Place.
Â
Active since 1987, Nettl at Digiprint offers web design, print and signage services to the local business community. Working with customers across a wide range of projects, the company counts small and wide format printing, posters, signs, exhibition and display graphics among its offerings.
Â

Nettl at Digiprint was recently called upon to support in a development project involving Milsom Place – not only a prestigious shopping area, but also the venue in which Channel 4’s First Dates is filmed. This involved branding several units undergoing refurbishment as part of the initiative.
Â
For this project, the company was tasked with creating graphics to not only obscure building works, but also enhance the space, fit in with the premium nature of the shopping centre and draw interest from passers by.
Â
The company elected to work with Drytac Polar Premium Air, a printable self-adhesive vinyl featuring a permanent adhesive with bubble free application technology that delivers easy to install graphics. Director Ben Gregory said the material provided flexibility and ease of use for what was an extensive project.
Â
‘There were several units that needed branding and each had multiple windows,’ Ben said. ‘The easy to fit, bubble free technology made installation a breeze and with the classic matte finish, it gave a high end look.’
Â
The company produced the graphics in-house, using its HP Latex R1000 machine to print the panels. Panels were cut to a rough size on a Vivid Veloblade Nexus and hand trimmed once installed at the shopping centre for an even more accurate finish. The graphics were installed in early January 2025.
Â
‘Drytac’s Polar materials print beautifully on our HP Latex machine, and with HP Latex’s anti scratch inks, the results are outstanding,’ Ben said. ‘We have never had issues with these products. While we have tried others, our installation team requests Drytac as the preferred material.
Â
‘Additionally, the Drytac Polar film performed brilliantly in the freezing temperatures we were experiencing during application.’
Â
The project proved to be a big hit, with Nettl at Digiprint having secured more work on the back of the initial set of installations.
Â
‘Our team worked hard to secure this project, and our success has impressed the shopping centre management. As a result, it has entrusted us with even more signage work, including wayfinding signs, event and promotional boards, advertising panels, and additional wall and window branding.
Â
‘This looks like the start of a great partnership!’ Ben said.
