Offset Print wins Antalis Future Focus campaign’s electric van

Print Solutions

A Mercedes Benz eVito electric van is now being used by Offset Print and Packaging, based in Aylesford in Kent as the result of winning Antalis’ Future Focus campaign.

The Future Focus initiative was designed to reward Antalis customers and support their businesses and environmental goals, highlighting the benefits of working together in trusted partnerships.

As a result of the initiative, over 5100 trees have been planted in the UK and over £15,000 has been donated to various charities. In addition, 226 boxes of recycled paper have been delivered to customers and over 72 tonnes of paper carbon balanced via Antalis’ partnership with the World Land Trust, as part of its carbon balancing scheme.

Commenting on his company’s win, Vince Brearey, managing director operations, Offset Print and Packaging, which specialises in the design and manufacture of high quality, bespoke printed cartons, said: ‘We are delighted to have won this van; it is a great asset to our business. Sustainability is really important to us and having this electric van is a crucial next step in our push to be as green as possible. While we distribute to customers further afield via third party logistics, this van will enable us to carry out our more local deliveries with minimum environmental impact.

‘We have been working hard to reduce our environmental footprint and recycle as much as we can, including ink, varnish and plastic waste – we send zero waste to landfill; and we are also using our cardboard engineering ability to remove as much plastic as we can from the packaging we design and produce.

‘Antalis’ Future Focus initiative was a great boost for businesses like ours and it is really encouraging to see what it has been able to achieve through it.’
