Smudge – verb: cause (something) to become messily smeared by rubbing it

Smudge is an exclusive foil from Foilco, formulated to give a luxurious matt black finish with superior scratch and rub resistance not commonly found in matt foils.

‘We were approached by a market leading fragrance brand which was looking for a matt stamping foil that had real durability after highlighting issues when using a competitor’s pigment foils,’ said Matt Hornby, sales director of Foilco.

‘Working closely with the brand’s manufacturing team, Foilco addressed the issues and created something unique for the market which not only looked good but solved the print problem- resulting in the creation of Smudge.’

Smudge is a specifically formulated stamping foil but that does not affect its environmental credentials as it is still re-pulpable and can be recycled.
