Buxton chooses Tharstern for MIS

B1 litho sheetfed specialist catalogue and magazine printer Buxton Press has selected Tharstern to be its new MIS partner.

Constantly reviewing the advances in technology to support its business, the Derbyshire company has made significant investments over recent years to create one of the most modern printing facilities in the UK and has identified

the Tharstern MIS technology as the software to keep it at the cutting edge in providing a first class, flexible and customer focused printing service for their publisher clients.

CEO and managing director Kirk Galloway trusts that the Tharstern MIS is a strong product that can enhance their current offering.

He said, ‘I think we had already bought into the Tharstern brand before we even saw the full extent of what the MIS can do for us. We are very diligent and careful in selecting our partners and after a lot of preliminary research, all the signs were good.’

Kirk continued, ‘We have a huge belief in the products we print, and we need to maintain our reputation for quality and innovation, by staying customer focused and improving efficiency – the Tharstern MIS and team will help us to do this.’

The company runs four Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106 B1 long perfectors each with in line CutStars, in eight and 10 colour formats; three stitching lines and three perfect binding lines. It produces some 650 regular titles for more than 400 publishers.
