Introducing the BPIF HR and H&S Platform

Print Solutions

The British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF), is launching a new online HR and H&S platform, offering an intuitive and integrated suite of online tools to carry out compliancy health checks for members.

With digitalisation being the key to success moving forward, the online platform provides members with all the tools needed to stay compliant. The platform has been designed with remote working in mind, allowing members to login anywhere via the online BPIF members area. The aim of the platform has been to continually develop services to members with easily accessible, actionable advice and expertise.

The tool allows members to go through a personalised HR or H&S healthcheck, using assisted descriptions to answer the question sections. Once completed, the health check will provide an automated report of recommendations, including action plans to members for them to work through with guidance. They can also get in contact with one of the member advisers for additional support when required.

The platform has gone through a beta testing phase, allowing selected members to give their feedback and offer any improvements. The response to date has been extremely positive, with members very keen to start working through their action plans. Clare Saunders, HR and compliance manager, at Impress Print Services Ltd, was one of the first members to test out the platform and she has expressed that she ‘found all the tools extremely helpful’ and really appreciates the direction and assistance. The report produced has been reviewed and ‘already actions are being taken’. She further added that ‘as we progress, we will be utilising even more of the help available’.

It has been important to continue to evolve with the new way of working and the BPIF is continuing to develop its online resources. Anna Stretton, head of HR at the BPIF explained: ‘Last year presented a new way of working for the BPIF and we seized the opportunity to develop our products and services. We hope that by building this platform, it will provide our members with flexible access and support on how to become compliant.’

The tool has been developed with members in mind. Mandy Robson, head of HSE at the BPIF, said: ‘We have designed our online tools to be the ‘go to’ support channel for our members, with the option of conducting regular health checks, providing web links through to our practical step by step advice, guidance documents and templates.’
